Paulino García is offering for sale a guitar built by Verónica Ayala in 2014 (Paracho, Mexico).

This wonderful copy of the Antonio Torres (FE 17) from 1864 is for sale — the very guitar that was the first Torres owned by the illustrious Tárrega.

The instrument has been very lightly used and is in excellent condition, with no marks or scratches.

As can be seen in the photos, the craftsmanship of the guitar is superb, made with top-quality woods, including an ancient spruce top inherited from the renowned López-Ayala luthier family of Paracho, and stunning flamed maple for the back and sides. The instrument also features exquisite marquetry work on the purfling, bindings, and rosette (all faithful to the original), making it a magnificent reproduction. The string length, also faithful to the original, is 64 cm.

Additional high-end details include a vintage-style precision tuning machine by Irving Sloane, along with a bridge and nut made of ivory (walrus tusk).

The guitar comes with a custom case made by Guitarras Benjamín (Mexico). The guitar can be seen and tested in Santander (Spain).

Price: €4200.
