The Italian Savarez family moved to France in 1770, where they founded the company, which is known worldwide nowadays, and whose original activity was based on gut and gimped strings.

From 1880, its catalog expands with the use of new materials such as steel, bronze and brass. In 1930 the company began with the production of nylon strings, applying new calibration and control techniques to improve accuracy.

Savarez´s gimped nylon strings with copper (file cuivre nylon, NFC) offer a more round and warm tone. They can be combined with other nylon strings, nylgut, gut or KF Alliance carbon strings.

Savarez has recently improved the manufacturing of these strings to significantly increase its lifetime at peak performance.
