Alan Lem is selling an 8-course renaissance lute built in 1976 by Hans Jordan.
With its comfortable 57 cm scale, this instrument easily handles standard G tuning. It is ideal for early music players, but would also appeal to classical guitarists and folk musicians who appreciate the versatility of the lute as well as the guitar. This is because the instrument has metal frets and a guitar-type bridge setup, which, depending on the strings used, gives this lute either a traditional lute or guitar-like sound, or something in between.
