At the end of 2012 I worked closely with Sara Ruiz to launch the website of the Bellemont, shortly after they were completed. the recording of his first album, “La voix de la viole”.
We created La Bellemont in the summer of 2007 with the hope of achieving an interpretation of the French repertoire for viola da gamba and basso continuo based on the pleasure of sound per se and on gestural rhetoric. To do this, we began by building an accompaniment in which harpsichord and theorbo managed to combine timbres, attacks, arpeggio speeds, impulses and dynamics, creating a stable but elastic base on which the viola could give voice to a rhetorical speech of great richness and expressiveness. .
Time and concerts definitely contributed to the sound realization of this chamber music philosophy and to clearly establish the ultimate goal: to achieve a musical performance of the highest expressive level that manages to move the listener.
