Aquila Loaded Bass CD 1.15

Aquila CD strings are smooth synthetic basses loaded with copper powder during extrusion (no mercury or lead), recreating the denser "loaded" gut basses of the 16th–17th centuries. They have a satin, gut-like surface and a warm sound, for the basses and middle courses of lute and baroque guitar. They are thicker than an equivalent wound string, so bridge and peg holes may need opening, and Aquila suggests going one gauge up.
