Vihuela in E built by César Arias in 2013

Xavier Alern is offering for sale a vihuela de mano in E, built by luthier César Arias based on iconography from the late 15th century.

The vihuela was reconstructed from the altarpiece of Santa Maria des Riu in Ibiza. It is a model related to the musicians of the court of Pope Alexander VI Borgia.
This is an extraordinary and unique instrument in the world, playable both with fingers and with a plectrum.
