1. Select Instrument & Base Setup
Choose your instrument from the main dropdown in the "Setup" section. Then, set the desired a' pitch (Hz) and adjust the default string lengths (cm) for each string group (e.g., Fingerboard, Extension).
2. Global Adjustments
Use the controls in the "Settings" section to make broad changes:
- Transpose Tuning: Shift all notes up or down using the +/- buttons or semitone input.
- Adjust Tension: Apply a global offset (Kg) to all strings relative to their base tension using the +/- buttons or input.
3. Fine-Tune Individual Strings
In the results table, modify each string as needed:
- Change the Note using the text input or the / buttons.
- Adjust the specific Tension (Kg) using its number input field.
4. View Results & Materials
The table automatically calculates string diameters. Toggle checkboxes in the "Settings" section to show/hide columns for different materials (Nylon, Carbon, etc.). Check the Total Tension displayed above the table.
Advanced: Manage Courses
Modify the instrument's string layout:
- Click below the table to add a new string course.
- Click on a row to remove a string (or pair).
- Use / to reorder courses.
5. Export Data
Click the button at the bottom to generate, copy, or download your string set details.
